All funds collected by Prayas are used for its stated purpose. Officers and volunteers of Prayas do not receive any remuneration for their work.

On an average 95% of funds collected every year are spent on students scholarships. Only about 5% of the collected funds are spent administrative expenses.

Contributions to Prayas are tax exempt in USA. Prayas is classified as a 501(c)(3) organization by IRS.

Prayas is very careful in selecting genuine projects and activities towards which its funds are used. To ensure that, Prayas has defined a set of eligibility criteria for students to receive financial support from Prayas. Prayas regularly monitors its programs to ensure appropriate usage of funds.
